Robert Hachey 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at home surround by his loving family.

Robert was born in Leominster, MA, on May 21, 1957, a son of the late parents Alyer and Patricia Hachey (O’Donnell). He went to Saxon Trade in Leominster, MA, where he loved to do sheet metal and wood working. Bobby as a young child would love to tinker with anything that was electronic, and he could fix anything. He loved to hang out with his friends at the Whitney Field. Later in years, as a young teenage at the age of 15, started working for Despres Roofing Company in Leominster, MA. Later years, he worked for North Star Roofing, which he enjoyed tremendously. He was able to climb the top of the highest church in Boston, to which he was very proud and excited to do so. Bobby also loved to ride his motorcycle with his friends, take long trips to New Hampshire. He loved family get togethers, the more the merrier. Bobby was always willing to help anyone in need, at any time. Bobby was very proud about opening the 100 Year Time Capsule in Leominster, MA, in 2018. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, all New England sports to be exact. Bobby was the recipient of a heart transplant three years ago. His family will be forever grateful for Tufts Hospital, Hospice care team and a big thank you to all of his friends for their support at this time.

Leo, Bobby’s grandson, was the light of his life. Bobby had a few different nicknames but Papa was his favorite.

Bobby was predeceased by his parents Alyer and Patricia Hachey (O’Donnell). He leaves behind his children Tina Zellner (Paul) of Casco, Wisconsin, Michael Hachey of Leominster, MA, Marena Hachey of Leominster, MA. His sister June (Hachey) Boulet of Leominster, MA, Janet (Hachey) Rosado of Leominster, MA, Barbara (Hachey) Steinebach of Texas, Patricia (Hachey) Kincaid and her husband Robert Kincaid of Leominster, MA, and his brother Joseph Hachey of Gardner, MA. His grandchildren Monica and Leo. Also leaves 3 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bobby for a period of visitation on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, MA, 01420, at 4:00 PM until 7:00PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at St. Cecilia Parish, 180 Mechanic St, Leominster, MA 01453 at 11:00Am, with burial to follow at St. Cecilia Cemetery, 99 St Cecilia St, Leominster, MA 01453.
