Robert Edward Rouisse

July 26, 1928 — October 23, 2025

Leominster, MA

It is with a light heart that we celebrate the life of Robert "Bob" Edward Rouisse, a humble man who graced this world with his presence from July 26, 1928, to October 23, 2025. Born in the close-knit community of Leominster, MA, Bob spent his fruitful years in Fitchburg MA, and summers at his beloved lake house in Ashburnham, MA.

Bob was known for his dedication, both in his profession and personal life. He spent several years as a meticulous manager in a reupholstery business, where his supportive nature was valued by his colleagues. His generosity was reflected in his hobbies; he was a master craftsman, imbuing each piece of woodworking with love and care, and nurtured his garden with a gentle patience. His lake house in Ashburnham was a manifestation of his humble spirit, a haven where he enjoyed spending time, creating memories that will forever be cherished. As Mark Twain rightly said, "The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation." Bob embodied this to the fullest.

Bob was a loving husband and a doting father, always prioritizing his family above all. His daughters, Melodye (husband Thompson) Stimpel, Jayme Pires, and Jodye (husband Brian) Payne, were the apple of his eye, and he was immensely proud of them. He enjoyed travelling with Melodye and Thom, creating special bonds and unforgettable memories. He was also a proud grandfather to Jeremy Frerichs, Ryan (wife Jen Christie) Frerichs, Chad Pires, Lexye Payne, and Colby Payne and a great-grandfather to Avery Frerichs and Natalie Frerichs. He was preceded in death by his mother Eva, father Robert, beloved wife Nancy, and siblings; Rita Forest, Lorraine Stevenson, Norman Rouisse and son-in-law Peter Pires.

As we reflect on Bob's life, let's remember him as the generous, dedicated, and supportive soul he was. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The purpose of life...is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Bob certainly lived well and made a significant difference in all our lives.

We invite you to leave your memories of Robert and upload photos to the memorial page. Let's celebrate his life and remember him as he was - full of love, life, and laughter.
