Ronald Julian Thibault

Jun 7, 1938 — Aug 20, 2026

Fitchburg

In the City of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the loving and humble Ronald Julian Thibault made his mark on the world on June 7, 1938. His delightful spirit and heartwarming presence were adored by many, and his legacy as a funny, generous, and devout man will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Ronald lived a fulfilling life, deeply immersed in his faith and committed to his family, embodying the words of Proverbs 22:1, "A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold."

Ronald spent his professional life as a welder in a steel fabricating company, a role that, much like the man himself, was strong, reliable, and foundational. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his dedication to his faith and family. He was a devoted member of the Baptist church, and his faith was not just a belief, but a way of life. For over 30 years, he selflessly served in the prison ministry, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who needed hope and redemption the most. Ronald's generous spirit extended beyond the walls of the church, touching lives wherever he went. He was a humble man who found joy in simple pleasures, his hobbies included golfing and fishing, activities that allowed him to appreciate the peace and beauty of God's creation.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Anna Thibault, his brother Joseph Thibeault, and his sister Rosie St Jean Clark. His son Rene Thibault and his wife Roxanne Thibault, his son Joseph Thibault, his daughter Patricia Specht and her husband Darren Specht. His granddaughters Kristi Brandon and her husband Douglas Brandon, Katelyn Thibault, Courtney Dallenbach and her husband Jacob Dallenbach, Brittany Gesin and her husband Jonathan Gesin, and grandson Christian Specht. Ronald was also the great grandfather of Gabriel Gesin, Penelope Gesin, Annie Dallenbach, Evangeline Gesin and Rosalie Dallenbach. He was preceded in death by his parents Rene and Sylvia Thibeault, and his siblings Paul Thibeault, Theresa Sidebottom, and Gerard Thibeault. Each one of these individuals held a special place in Ronald's heart, and his profound love for them was evident in every interaction.

Throughout his life, Ronald exemplified what it means to live out the love of Christ in every aspect of life. His legacy is one of faith, love, and generosity, a testament to the power of a life well-lived. As we remember Ronald, we are reminded of his favorite verse, John 15:12, "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." May we honor his memory by living out these words every day.
