Rosalia Mendoza

Rosalia (Flores) Mendoza, age 92, died at her home on Sunday, May 7, 2023 after an illness.

She was born in Yucuaiquin, La Union, El Salvador, on September 4, 1930 a daughter of the late Edubije Flores and Tanisladia (Yanes). She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She fought for her children and in her life went through a lot, but always came out on the other side with a smile on her face. Even with the illnesses' she faced, she survived and was able to spend many decades happy with her family and friends. She was surrounded by her loved ones, especially in her last moments. There aren't any words to explain the void she has left behind in our hearts, but there are no words to express the joy we have to see her again in the future. 

She leaves her husband, Lorenzo Mendoza Yanes; four sons, Luis Mendoza, Efrain Mendoza, Ismeal Mendoza, and Isaias Mendoza; four daughters, Rubena Pineda, Carmen Contreras, Celina Mendoza and Alba Fuentes, and 14 grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Rosalia for a period of visitation on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 11:00Am until 2:00PM at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, MA 01420. There will be a small service in the funeral home at 3:00PM, with burial to follow immediately after at Forest Hill Cemetery, 115 Mt Elam Rd, Fitchburg, MA 01420
