A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 21 in the Crossroads Community Church,839 Ashby State Rd., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. Calling hour are from 5-8 on Tuesday, September 20 in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.
Fitchburg- Rosie J. (Snowden) Oliver, 80 passed away at her home on September 11.
Rosie was born on December 8, 1941, in Delight, Arkansas a daughter of the late Jett and Gertrude (Jones) Snowden.
Rosie was the wife of the late Willie L. Oliver who passed in 2017.
She is survived by her brothers, Cota Snowden, John Snowden, James Snowden, Lawrence Snowden, Roy Snowden, sisters, Dorothy Meeks, Ethel Snowden, Sandra Snowden, Alfrita Brown and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Oliver is predeceased by her siblings, Samuel and Leonard Snowden, Olivia Myles and Evelyn Fricks.
Mrs. Oliver worked for 28 years at General Electric as a mailroom supervisor. She then was employed at Rollstone Bank, the former Fitchburg Savings Bank for 8 years. Rosie was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Fitchburg and participated as a Prayer Pastor and Sunday School Teacher at the church.
