Stephen A. Muller

November 17, 1933 — December 10, 2025

Lancaster, Massachusetts

In loving memory, we announce the passing of Stephen A. Muller of Lancaster, MA on Wednesday, December 10th. He passed away peacefully at home with loving family at his side.

Born in New York City on November 17,1933 to Harold & Florence Evelyn (Smith) Muller, Steve grew up in northern New York and graduated from Franklin Academy where he was a member of the baseball, football, and basketball teams, and was honored with the Athlete of the Year Award upon graduation. After attending Union College and graduating from New York University with a Bachelor of Science, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, PFC. He was stationed in Germany and served as a police officer and a criminal investigation officer. Upon discharge, he worked for Moore Business Forms in Rochester and then Utica, NY. Four years later, he established and owned a Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise on land he owned in Plattsburg NY. Steve later purchased Miles Kedex Company, then located in downtown Leominster and now relocated in Westminster, MA, where he served as President for 52 years manufacturing recognition and presentation booklets and frames.

Steve was an avid golfer, and held memberships in Malone C.C., Oak Hill C.C. in Fitchburg, and Bonita Bay C.C. where he achieved many accolades but mostly enjoyed being outside in the company of friends and family, and the challenge and competitiveness of the game. He frequently played with the Bay State Seniors.

His social and business networks included The Fay Club, Bass Point Club, and several business associations. In his love for scouting and sports, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts Nashua Valley Council and local Montachusett YMCA boards. His charitable giving and generosity seemed to have no bounds. As well for his love of dogs. “Everyone should own a dog” was a common phrase to those without. He loved to rib friends and family, give out nicknames, and was generous with a drink and laughter. Steve and Judy semi-retired to Bonita Springs, FL where they established another community of friends, and were always happy to ‘have down’ or meet up along the southwest coast with friends and family, new and old.

He is preceded by his sister Pamela R. Muller-Smith and survived by his loving wife Judy (Garrity) of 57 years, son Mark and wife Susej, son Eric and partner Tami Corliss, daughter Sonya and husband Sean May, and five grandchildren: Haley & Ryan May of Lancaster, Abigail and Anthony Muller of Leominster, and Nicholas Muller of Westminster.

Due to another illness in the immediate family, calling hours have been postponed to a date yet to be determined soon after the new year. In lieu of flowers, Steve requested memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
