Steven D. Delaney, 81, of Leominster passed peacefully, Sunday November 28th, 2021 at Leominster Hospital from health complications. Steve was born April 17th 1940 a son of the late Walter Delaney and partner Madeline. His folks and his deceased brother, Richard Delaney were from Ashburnham, MA. Steve worked & resided in Ayer & Shirley for much of his life with his late wife, Patricia Delaney. For the past 19 years he resided in Leominster and Fitchburg with his loving partner, Barbra Boudreau. Barbra’s daughter Melissa Green and grandson Brandon Green, considered Stevie their step-father/grandfather. Steve graduated from Cushing Academy and was an Accountant by trade. He was a past Exalted Ruler from the Elks Club #1891 in Westford MA. He enjoyed many things in his life especially sports. He played basketball in school, enjoyed golfing with his buddies, and fishing with his friends, sons & nephews. He enjoyed cooking & spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving family member. Steve is survived by two sons, Douglas Delaney and his wife Joanne of Fairfax, Vermont & Joseph Delaney of Stonington, Maine; four grandchildren; Nathan Delaney, Kathleen Delaney, Devan Showers, and Jenna Poche; and two great grandchildren; Saydee Poche and Starla Dufault. He leaves four nephews; David Delaney of Champaign, IL., Brian Delaney of Rockwall, TX, Terry Cooper of Shirley MA, Tommy Underhill of Nashua NH. Steve was predeceased by his nephew William (Billy) Cooper.
