The funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 7 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 63 Sheridan St., Fitchburg. Burial will be held privately. There are no calling hours.
Fitchburg – Sylvia C. (Carbonneau) Mayer, 85, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2021 in Leominster Hospital. Sylvia was born in Leominster on November 23, 1935, a daughter of the late Aime and Henriette (Loiselle) Carbonneau. She is survived by her three sons, James, Steven, and Charles Mayer, and three daughters, Donna and Karen Mayer, and Beth Farias; grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Jake, Olivia, Gabriella, and Adam; great grandchildren, Seth, Peyton, Sophia, Morgan, and Kyle; a sister, Charlene Halpin; several nieces and nephews. Her granddaughters, Olivia and Gabriella were her special caregivers. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Robert Mayer, a son Leonard Mayer, and two brothers, Aime Carbonneau, Jr., and Rene Carbonneau.
