Teresa A (Boniface) Jennison Saulnier, 86, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, died Sunday, August 6 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer. Teresa (Terry) was the daughter of Raniero and Teresa (Cristofono) Boniface and lived in Fitchburg most of her life. She graduated in 1954 from St. Bernard's Catholic High school.
Terry was a mom first, who selflessly raised her 4 children on her own (with help from her wonderful parents). Eventually, she would work at the Optometric Professional Center in Fitchburg for over 30 years with her late husband, Dr. Mark Saulnier, serving the local community with their personal eye care needs.
She was a member of the Sons of Italy, and her favorite pastimes were playing bocce and shopping for the latest fashions with her life long friend Helen.
Terry particularly enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, going to the beach, and wintering in Florida with her family. Although her hopes of one day visiting Italy didn't happen, she did experience the majesty of the Canadian Rockies and Alaska, and other European locations.
Terry leaves her children, Kathryn and her husband Bob Nichols, of Fort Lauderdale, FL and their two sons, Bobby, of San Francisco, CA; and Ryan, of New Brunswick, NJ. Stephen Jennison, of Prescott Valley, AZ. James Jennison, of Shrewsbury, and his three children, Emily and her husband Ryan Fritschy of Duxbury and great granddaughter, Madison; Andrew Jennison, of Shrewsbury; and Joseph Jennison of Holden. Michael and his wife Kelly, of Leominster, and their two children, Cody Jennison, of Leominster; and Danielle and her husband David Zastrow, of Bentonville, AR and two great grandsons, Cooper and Cohen.
She also leaves her older sister, Rosemarie Morand of Chelmsford, nieces and nephews, and a special group of faithful loving friends.
Special thanks are extended to the dedicated staff at Sunrise Assisted living and Apple Valley Center for their heartfelt care, encouragement and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest a donation to St. Bernard's Catholic High School at https://stbernardshighschool.org/give
