It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Thérèse L. Griffin, affectionately known as Tracy, on November 12, 2025. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on December 10, 1939, to parents Omer and Loretta Poirier. She was raised in Acton and graduated from Acton Boxborough Regional High School.
Thérèse was a resilient and talented woman who often worked multiple jobs to provide for her three children Ed, Todd and Loretta. She was a woman of many talents. Tracy began her career at the young age of 16 at Nashoba Valley Drive-in, working her way up to become a respected administrative assistant at the Digital Equipment Corporation. After retiring from The Westford Town Health Department in 2009, Tracy spent her retirement in Lunenburg. She spent her time doing the things she loved.
Thérèse had an artistic flair that was evident in her beautiful sewing, her cake decorations, and festive holiday settings, she had an adventurous side as well, seen in her love for golf, her joy in riding a Harley, and her love for her blue Saab convertible.
Above all, she loved spending time with her family, hosting Christmas Eve celebrations, and baking pies for Thanksgiving at Mémère's.
Thérèse is survived by her sons Edward J. Griffin Jr., Todd Griffin, her daughter Loretta T Griffin, her grandson, Trevor, and wife, Ariel and her four great grandchildren Evelyn, Lucas, Juliet and Mason. Her brother George Poirier, her sister Adele Vinal.
