Timothy E. Dorner

Timothy E. Dorner, fondly known as "Pops" by his grandchildren and kids, was born on December 6 1949, in Perth Amboy, NJ. 

Deemed as smart and talented, he spent his life leaving a lasting impression on those privileged to know him. His wit and humor were his trademarks, often making people around him burst into laughter even in seemingly ordinary conversations. Timothy's professional life was marked by his work as a Diesel Mechanic, a field where he utilized his talents to the fullest, retiring in 2004 from EDART Trucking Company.

Timothy had a passion for life that was manifested in the hobbies he pursued. He shot darts for the North County Dart League of Massachusetts for over three decades before retiring sometime in 2010. His love for vehicles was evidenced by his continuous work on or search for a new vehicle to prepare for the Cheshire Demolition Derbies back in the mid 80s. During the summer as he got older when he retired, he enjoyed setting off fireworks for his family during get-togethers and cookouts. 

However, what mattered truly the most to Tim were his two grandchildren, Marcus and Tatianna To quote an old saying, "A grandfather has the wisdom of long experience and the love of an understanding heart." That was Tim.

Timothy is survived by his daughter, Hope Dorner; step-daughter Karla Vazquez and his special daughter, Amanda Holden; grandchildren, Samantha Parry, Marcus Martinez, Tatianna Martinez, Izayah Martinez, and Westley Wright; and sister, Lynda Hilliard. He was preceded in death in 2022 by his loving wife, Donnamarie Dorner.

Burial will be private at the Winchendon Veterans Cemetery amongst family and close friends.
