Victor B. Laplante, Jr.

Victor B. LaPlante, Jr., 79, of Fitchburg passed away peacefully on February 16, 2022.

Victor was born in Fitchburg on November 20, 1942, a son of the late Victor B. and Beatrice (Bolduc) LaPlante. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1962, where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, until his honorable discharge in 1965. After returning home, he married the love of his life Linda (Gallant) LaPlante, who predeceased him in 2019.

Victor worked for Prime Value Mart and Aubuchon Hardware for many years, retiring from Eastern Courier. He loved to vacation in Maine with his wife and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his two children, Michele LaBell and David LaPlante and his wife, Nicole and her son, Tyler; three grandchildren, Cassandra Bellofatto and her husband Daniel, Alexander LaBell and Cailin LaPlante and her mother, Danielle LaPlante; one great granddaughter, Isla Bellofatto; siblings, Jeanne Maynard, Lorraine Moscardini and husband William, Janet Dame and husband Edward, Rene LaPlante and wife Betty; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Pauline Wiitala.

Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Wednesday, February 23, from 4-6pm. Burial will be held privately.
