Walter Koski, a man of boundless faith in Jesus Christ, and a bright beacon of gentle kindness and perseverance, departed on a peaceful journey to paradise on August 7, 2026. Born in Fitchburg, MA, on July 2, 1947, Walter was an embodiment of resilience and walking in the faith. As it is written in Psalms 40:8: "I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart." Walter embraced this principle throughout every facet of his life.
Walter's journey began as a young boy in Fitchburg, where he was born to the late Walter and Dorothy Koski. Raised in Ashby, MA, his humble beginnings brought him a profound understanding of human nature and the importance of perseverance. Walter carried these lessons into his service in Vietnam and later in his professional life, dedicating decades of selfless service as an engineer in the telecommunications industry. His accomplishments in this field are a testament to his intellect, creativity, and tireless commitment to his work. Outside of work, Walter's passions included creative writing, country music, movies, science fiction, and endless laughter.
Walter was a loving father to his daughter, Sharon Koski-Richard, and his son, James Koski, who both survive him. He was also a devoted husband to his late wife, Rita, whom he absolutely adored, and his life was a testament to the enduring power of love, even in the face of great loss. Walter's spirit of resilience remains an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
As we remember Walter, we invite you to join us in celebrating his life. Share your memories, stories, and photos of Walter on his memorial page. Let us remember the man who touched our lives in countless ways, and let his life story inspire us to face our own challenges with grace and resilience.
