Anita Claire (Lapierre) Frechette, 93, died Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Leominster Hospital after an illness.
She was the wife of 56 years to the late Alfred Frechette, who died in 2008.
She was born in Three Rivers, Canada, on January 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Napoleon and Lumina (Leclerc) Lapierre. She attended St. Cecilia's School. She worked at Foster Grant in Leominster and for Barba Pharmacy as a cashier, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church, the Fine Tuners, and the Putnam Street Bowling League. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, time with her family, traveling, bowling, singing, playing bingo, going to Foxwoods, and going to Old Orchard Beach.
Anita leaves her four children, David Frechette and his wife Debby, Louise Membrino and her husband Norman, Diane McBride and her husband Thomas, and Deborah Thibeault;
seven grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Marci, Heather, Meghan, Eric, and Matthew; eight great-grandchildren, Paul Jr., Noah, Jacob, Kaeli, Connor, Parker, Hudson, and Rylie; and many nieces and nephews.
She is also predeceased by her three sisters, Jeannie Rouleau, Theresa Maillot, and Marie Cristofono.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Her funeral will be held in St. Cecilia's Church, Mechanic Street, Leominster, MA, on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Leominster. MA
