Glenn F. Vaillancourt, a beacon of light and hope for the countless children he taught, passed away on March 19, 2026.
Born in Nashua, NH, on January 6, 1948, Glenn spent the majority of his life in Leominster, Massachusetts, where he was more than just a teacher; he was a mentor, a guide, and a friend. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Glenn lived by this principle, and his impact was felt not only by his students but also by everyone lucky enough to have crossed paths with him.
Glenn dedicated his life to the field of special education, tirelessly advocating for children who often felt unheard and unseen. Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." By this measure, Glenn's life was a resounding success. His compassion, patience, and love for teaching transformed the lives of countless children, encouraging them to reach their full potential and to never stop dreaming.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Judy Vaillancourt, his sister-in-law Elaine Pickett, and his nephews and nieces, Todd, Tonya, and Timothy Pickett.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Delia Vaillancourt. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved and the students he inspired.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 9 - 10:15 am at the Brandon Funeral, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 am in Holy Family of the Nazareth Church, 750 Union St., Leominster. Burial will be private at a later date.
